Abstract

488,842. Valve generating circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Feb. 10, 1938, No. 4237. Convention date, Feb. 13, 1937. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXV] To prolong the impulses produced when a condenser 3 which is charged through a resistance 4, is discharged through a grid-controlled vapour-filled or gas-filled valve 1, a resistance 5 having a parallel condenser 6 is connected as shown. The condenser 6, which charges when the condenser 3 is discharging and discharges through resistance 5 when the valve 1 no longer passes current, prolongs the pulses taken from resistance 5 via movable contact 13. The frequency of the pulses is the same as or a multiple of that supplied to the grid circuit of the valve at 15. An embodiment using an alternating current supply at 2 is also described in the Specification.
