Abstract
488,504. Litters, stretchers, &c. SWARBRICK, N. A. Jan. 14, 1937, No. 1099. [Class 108 (i)] A stretcher, litter, or the like is made wholly of steel, the sides being steel tubes upon which is mounted a bed or hammock of steel links or chain-mail. The tubes 5, the ends of which may be closed or provided with detachable rubber handles, have wheel or roller-carrying legs 6 and are connected by toggle-jointed transverse stays 7, or relatively-slidable members adapted to be fixed by fastenings, or may be permanently held apart. The bed or hammock 8 may be attached to rings 9 on pins secured to the tubes 5 or may have hook-like members adapted to be passed over the tubes 5, or through holes therein, and bent over.
