Abstract

473,591. Litter carriages. REINSCH, H. June 2, 1937, No. 15337. [Class 108 (i)] A litter carriage is provided with a wheel, the axis of which lies at the end of the stretcher and in the plane of the stretcher and is also provided with a pair of longitudinally displaceable handles at the wheel end whereby the stretcher may be carried. As shown the frame a is constructed of tubes and the wheel axis k is carried by angular tube members l adapted to slide into the longitudinal frame members of the frame a and to be secured in position by straps m, tongues x on the frame a passing into slots in the members l to transmit the load. Handles g are adapted to be slid into the longitudinal portions of the members l. The frame a may be foldable about hinges i and carried on the back of one of the stretcher bearers. An adjustable head rest c and legs e are provided.
