Abstract

Means to facilitate moving bodily.- At one end or both ends of a bedstead, fixed direction or swivelling castor wheels are provided in addition to stump feet y. The wheels are mounted on vertical rods t sliding in tubes f forming part of the frame and can be pressed down by pivoted levers k linked to the rods t to form a toggle. In both extreme positions, shown in Figs. 1 and 3 the levers k lie past their dead centres, and are thus automatically positioned.
