Abstract

533,741. Means for moving bedsteads. AKTIEBOLAGET SANGFABRIKEN, and ERICSSON, T. L. Nov. 20, 1939, No. 30396. [Class 52 (i)] An appliance for use in moving invalids' bedsteads comprising an inverted U-shaped frame 1 mounted on swivelling wheels and provided with hooks 11, 12 for attaching the appliance to the cross-members 18, 19 of the bedstead is characterised by the provision of a crank shaft 8 and links 10 operable by a handle 7 for the vertical displacement of the frame 1 relative to the wheels in order to raise the bedstead as shown in Fig. 2. In the raised position the crank linkages 9, 10 pass beyond their dead centres until the links 10 abut against the cross member 18 of the bedstead.
