352,496. Slings. HANLEY, A., 473, Queens Road, Sheffield. April 7, 1930, No. 10955. [Class 78 (iv).] A sling or bag for raising, lowering, or transporting injured persons in confined spaces comprises a bag B<1> adapted to be laced up and provided with a stiffener block D. Straps 1, 2, 3 having loops E through which a chain, rope, &c., A<1> is passed and secured to the bottom are provided for hoisting the patient. The bag itself may be provided with loops F, Fig. 17, through which the rope &c. or poles may be passed and a pocket S may be provided at the back for a stiffening board &c.
