Abstract

488,212. Roofing-slabs &c. SPEAKER & CO., Ltd., G. R., and COOMBES, P. C. Jan. 2, 1937, No. 134. [Class 87 (i)] A tile or slab for application to the waterproof surface of a roof, floor, or the like is composed of a fireproof composition of cement and asbestos or pumice and is provided in its underside ,with intersecting channels 3, 4 whereby supporting facets 5 are provided for the tile. The channels may be of part circular, rectangular or trapezoidal cross-section. The tile may be faced with cement and sand or marble aggregate and its upper edges 6 may be rounded. The facets 5 may be coated with Portland cement or bituminous composition. Specification 368,041, [Group V], is referred to.
