488,051. Bed-settees. FOSTER, A. H. Sept. 1, 1937, No. 15364. [Class 52 (ii)] In a chair or settee convertible into a bed, comprising two portions b, c hinged together and opening out to form two wells or recesses, the lower surfaces of the two wells are constituted by interlaced layers of stretched webbing, canvas or other material, and two self-contained removable mattress units h with internal springing are fitted into the wells. The mattress units are preferably interconnected with each other. The members b<4> and c<1> of the hinged frame parts are preferably partly cut away.
