487,242. Valve amplifying circuits. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE. Dec. 16, 1936, No. 34579. Convention date, Dec. 17, 1935. [Class 40 (v)] A resistance-capacity-coupled television amplifier, supplied with anode current from a source 7 liable to ripple voltage, is provided with smoothing resistances 5 and condensers 6 at each stage, so arranged that the voltage supplied to the earlier stages is more perfectly filtered than the later stages. The time constants of the filters 5, 6 are made equal to the time constants of the coupling elements 3, 4, thus ensuring that the ripple voltage reaching any grid is in phase with the ripple voltage at the corresponding anode. The elements 5, 6 are also chosen so that the ripple voltage arriving at the grid is a suitable fraction of that applied in the anode circuit, with the result that ripple is eliminated from the signal output.
