Abstract

485,876. Gear-wheel pumps. AIRCRAFT COMPONENTS, Ltd., and McKENZIE, W. W. Dec. 2, 1936, No. 33099. [Class 110 (ii)] A pump having meshing spur gears 11, 12 has each shaft supported in a bearing 13 which allows axial movement, and a bearing 27, which on being moved axially, causes a similar movement to its shaft. Rotation of a nut 22 causes an axial movement of a member 18, and thus the bearing 27. A grub screw 25 secures the nut 22, when proper adjustment of the shaft has been made. Liners 32 are provided as shown. Caps 24 cover the nuts 22.
