343,344. Rotary pumps. BROWN & SONS, (HUDDERSFIELD), Ltd., D. and MERRITT, H. E., Park Gear Works, Lockwood, Huddersfield. March 12, 1930, No. 7976. [Class 110 (ii).] Movable-abutment type.-The rotors a of a Root's blower type of pump are angularly adjustable relatively to one another by an axial movement of a helical-toothed driving gear c along splines or keys b<1> on a shaft b. The gear is secured between shims or washers d and a nut e. Alternatively the gears may have parallel teeth and the splines or keys be arranged helically. The number of gear-teeth and the number of splines have no common factor, to facilitate angular adjustment.
