485,281. Binding-apparatus. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. OF GREAT BRITAIN, Ltd. (International Harvester Co.) Jan. 17, 1938, No. 1492. [Class 6 (iii)] A grain binder of the type in which the binding attachment, elevators and other operative parts are driven by chains and sprockets situated at the rear of the machine has the drive divided into two units, the one including the main drive sprocket, the sprocket 6 for the binding attachment, a sprocket 7 for transmitting the drive to the sprocket 9 for the second unit and a tightening sprocket 19 and the other including the upper sprockets 11, 12 for the elevator, the sprocket 15 for the platform conveyer, the sprocket 17 for the reel and the tightening sprockets 19. The main chain 8 is short and of heavy dimensions, while the longer chain 10 is of lighter type.
