Abstract

484,589. Piston extrusion apparatus. TRIER BROS., Ltd., TRIER, F. N., and SYMONDS, F. Nov. 6, 1936, No. 30335. [Class 102 (ii)] Relates to apparatus in which lubricant or other substance above a piston E<1> in a cylinder A is discharged through a passage B<1> by means of oil or other liquid under pressure admitted below the piston. The invention consists in the provision of an air-relief passage, and in securing the cylinder to the base C by means of bolts D<1> passing through a collar D, which is screwed on the exterior of the cylinder, the arrangement permitting angular adjustment of the cylinder. Air is discharged through a passage C<6> closed by a screw plug G, or otherwise. The base C is held by a bolt J and is provided with inlet passages F, C<3> for pressure liquid, and a passage C<8> to a gauge H. The base has a convex surface, with a radial groove C7 and the lower surface of the piston is formed concave, with radial grooves E<8>.
