483,151. Mixing or sifting machines. GARDNER, C. E. Oct. 12, 1936, Nos. 27632 and 28422. [Classes 86 and 117] A mixing or sifting machine comprises a shaft with helical blades mounted on radial arms and working over a semi-cylindrical drum, the ends of the arms being connected by chains lying parallel with the shaft : the drum may be removable. The blades b, mounted on the arms f, are fitted with cross blades c, and, as shown, the chains sweep over the surface of the drum to break up lumps. The pivoted drum l may be removed by removing the hinge bolts. The drum may be provided with circular or elongated perforations for sifting, the latter being arranged all parallel or in herring-bone formation. Specification 10606/89, [Class 117], is referred to.
