Mincing; graters.-In a machine for mincing, grating, cutting, &c., of the type described in Specification 17072/15, a stationary scraper F, secured over the barrel mouth, removes the food from the revolving grid so that it is deposited in a definite place independently of the consistency of the food. The helical conveyer B and the cutting-grid C are revolved in the same or opposite directions by gearing D. The scraper F is retained on the spindle C<2> by a nut G and movement is prevented by locating stops A<2>. The scraper may have any number of arms and the leading edges may be sharpened to act as supplementary knives.
