Abstract

519,184. Harvesting potatoes &c. SMITH, A. E., and BLACKSTONE & CO., Ltd. Sept. 15, 1938, No. 26968. [Class 6 (iii)] In the auxiliary spinner of a machine for digging potatoes &c. the tines 4, which may be of the single form, or of the twin form shown, have their ends 6 curved backwardly in relation to the direction of rotation of the spinner, so that potatoes are not damaged on coming into contact with the tines. The extreme ends 7 of the tines are tangential to, or within the circumference of, the circle swept out by the tines during rotation. Specifications 268,070, [Class 6 (iii)], and 383,044 are referred to.
