Abstract
482,099. Cylinders. JUNKERS FLUGZEUG-UND-MOTORENWERKE AKT.-GES. July 22, 1937, No. 20320. Convention date, Aug. 3, 1936. Addition to 437,012. [Class 7 (ii)] A spherical, or conical, jointing surface 6 is formed between a tubular liner 4 and the cylinder head, the joint being kept tight by resilient means, as described in the parent Specification, which means may comprise long thin bolts 12. The surface 6, if spherical, is centred at a point 27 on the cylinder axis above the sliding joint 9; if conical, it is tangential to this sphere. A lip 17 facilitates the placing of a soft metal packing 7 which may be parallel-sided or conical, or spherical on one side only.
