Abstract

481,031. Composite metal sheets. RUMBLE, R. W. Sept. 7, 1936, No. 24414. [Classes 20 (ii) and 20 (iii)] A composite metal sheet comprises a plain flat, or curved metal sheet 2 and a plain or curved corrugated metal sheet 3 having thecorrugationswbolly of curved form, parallel to each other and to two opposite edges of the sheet, the sheets making contact only at the lines of the ridges and being united at these lines by welding or otherwise. The plain sheet may have its edges flanged as at 12 to the depth of the composite sheet and these flanges may be provided with interfitting projections and recesses whereby the composite sheets may be joined together to form shuttering for concrete floors. The plates may form shutters for flat or curved walls also, in which case opposed plates are joined by wire ties 22, Fig. VIII. The plates may also constitute doors, as shown in Fig. X, being provided with a lock 24 and hinges 23.
