Abstract

260,131. Loucks, J. F., and Gillett. H. Dec. 29, 1925. Metal plates and sheets ribbed to key with a layer of insulating or cementitious material in the construction of floors, roofs, and walls, are formed with spaced hollow angular ribs 2, the converging sides of which meet at the plate so that the reverse side is substantially continuous. The depth of the ribs may be greater than the width. Flanges 4, 5 may be formed on the sides of the sheets for joining adjacent sheets, and the ends of the ribs may be closed as shown in Fig. 6, or be slightly opened, or be shaped as shown in Fig. 7, for interlocking the sheets endwise.
