Abstract
479,795. Adhesive coated fabrics. SARASON, D. Jan. 28, 1937, No. 2547. Convention date, Jan. 29, 1936. [Class 140] Porous adhesive fabrics, for example for bandages, are made by treating open mesh fabrics with thinly liquid rubber solutions so that the meshes remain free. A fabric having a mesh of 1 to 2 mm<2>. is soaked in a 3 to 6 per cent solution of rubber, drawn through pressure rolls and the meshes freed by blowing a stream of hot air through the fabric. The process may be repeated and the rubber may be slightly vulcanized. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 314,737, [Class 140], 381,596; 402,965, and 424,766 (as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts).
