Abstract

An adhesive film comprises an adhesive medium containing a heat-hardening synthetic resin coated on, or imbibed in, a support or carrier which is robust enough to support the adhesive during manufacture of the film, but which becomes dispersed in the adhesive on application of heat and pressure during the use of the film. Suitable carriers are partly corroded paper or textile fabric, or partly degraded gelatine. Suitable adhesives are those referred to in Specifications 225,953, 290,327, and 333,194, [all in Class 121].
