497,431. Adhesive seals. BADERNA. A., and LIZZOLI, R. June 21, 1937, No. 17263. [Class 73] An adhesive seal comprises a backing 2 of paper, fabric or wood which may be transparent, coated on both sides with layers 3, 4, of any desired thickness of heat softened adhesive, one layer, when dried, being covered with a very thin layer 1 of viscose or the material sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Cellophane," which will not liquefy below a temperature of say 120-150‹ C., the two layers of adhesive preferably being transparent and of different colours. The seals are made by stamping from a prepared sheet, and folding back the edge, which is then covered by the viscose layer. The seal is applied by a heated device which may leave a relief or intaglio impression.
