Abstract

In abrasive cloth or paper, the abrasive grains are bonded together and secured to the paper &c. by an adhesive compound consisting of a polymerization product of a compound containing the vinyl group, preferably polystyrol. The compound before application to the paper &c. may be melted or dissolved, for example, in benzol, and after application to the paper, and after the abrasive grains have been applied, the compound hardens by natural cooling or by evaporation of the solvent.
