Abstract

A water-insoluble normally tacky adhesive contains a natural resin and unvulcanized rubber in the proportions of 1 to 2 parts of resin to 2 to 1 parts of rubber and a plasticizer or antioxidant of the group beta-naphthol, aldol - alpha - naphthylamine, phenyl - beta - naphthylamine and symmetrical di - beta - naphthyl - para - phenylene - diamine. The adhesive may be applied to suitable backing material as described in Specification 427,700.ALSO:A water-insoluble normally tacky adhesive contains a natural resin and unvulcanized rubber in the proportions of 1 to 2 parts of resin to 2 to 1 parts of rubber and a plasticizer or antioxidant of the group beta-naphthol, aldol-alpha-naphthylamine, phenyl-beta-naphthylamine and symmetrical di-beta-naphthyl-para-phenylene-diamine. The adhesive may be applied to suitable backing material as described in Specification 427,700.
