Abstract

469,653. Photographic roll - films. BILLING. N. P. Jan. 29, 1936, No. 2969/35. [Class 98 (i)] The leader strip, or the leading end of the backing strip is provided, between its ends and preferably mid - way, with an auxiliary sealing strip consisting of readily disintegrable material such as blotting paper connecting adjacent turns of the roll in order to prevent accidental unrolling of the film during loading and unloading. The tail strip or tail end may also be so constructed. Drying or non-drying adhesive may be used ; for example a strip 10 of blotting paper, carrying patches 12 of non-drying adhesive may be attached to the leader &c. strip by drying adhesive. The ends of the leader &c. strips carry the usual gummed sealing tongues 14, 15. Specifications 291,235 and 307,499, [both in Class 98 (i)], are referred to.
