Abstract

478,891. Cable-end sleeves. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and BUCKLEY, S. July 29, 1936, No. 20999. [Class 36] The insulation 5 at the end of a cable having a flexible armouring 4 consisting of a metal tape wound into a tube, one edge of the tape being formed with a channel into which the other edge projects, is protected against damage by the edge of the tape by a wire helix 1 having an end 3 which is screwed into the armouring between the latter and the insulation. The end turns of the helix remote from the armouring may be soldered together and the extremity of the armouring may be soldered to the helix.
