475,783. Skis. KIELLAND, J. DE R. Sept. 7, 1937, No. 24440. Convention date, Sept. 8, 1936. [Class 132 (i)] A wear-resisting edge for skis comprises a metal ribbon 1 fitting into a lateral groove in the ski material 3 and having a substantially S- or Z- shaped profile with two substantially parallel edge members interconnected by a transverse member, the metal ribbon being held in position by a wood strip 2 or the like, the bottom surface of which engages the lower part of the metal ribbon while the upper surface is provided with a longitudinal substantially nose-shaped rib 7 adapted to fit into a correspondingly-shaped groove in the ski material.
