380,260. Golf clubs. DOUGLAS SONS & CO., Ltd., J. and HILLMAN, A. L., Trindle Road, Dudley, Worcestershire. Sept. 23, 1931, No. 26536. [Class 132 (ii).] Golf clubs comprise a head b made from mouldable material such as a synthetic resin, for example, a phenol-formaldehyde compound, and a metal shaft a, the portion of which embedded in the head is perforated, fluted, knurled, corrugated, or provided with a metal sleeve c perforated with holes e for effecting secure connection between shaft and head. The edges of the sleeve c do not meet, but are separated by a longtiudinal slot. The head b is formed with cavities f, which are covered by a thin metal plate g on the underside of the head.
