Abstract

A fluid comprising a magnetic or magnetizable substance, such as finely-divided iron or low carbon steel, suspended in a carrier liquid, which may be carbon tetrachloride or trichlorethylene, is prepared by spraying the molten metal with the carrier liquid. The proportions by volume of metal to liquid may be one to fifteen or twenty.
