[Class 91] The manufacture of metal tubes, shells and the like is carried out by a drawing operation using as the drawing lubricant an emulsion containing mineral oil and an alumino silicate which is characterized in that it has been prepared by first mixing the mineral oil and alumino silicate into a paste and then mixing this paste with .water in the presence of an emulsify-. ing agent. The preparation of the lubricant is described and claimed in Specification 543,284,
