Abstract
475,272. Moulds for concrete blocks &c. NAYBRO STONE, Ltd., and COE, T. May 20, 1936, No. 14259. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group X] A metal mould for precast concrete blocks and the like comprises an open-ended, channelshaped body a and two detachable end plates b which slidably engage the body a with a tongue - and - groove connection. External reinforcing bars c on the sides of the body have downward extensions c<1> providing tongues for engagement with inturned flanges b<2> on upright edges b<1> of the plates b. The extensions c<1> and flanges b2 may be vertically inclined so as to provide a wedging action. Each plate b may be provided with a bar d having handles d<1>. Angle bars arranged transversely on the inner faces of the plates b serve as stops engaging the bottom of the body a. The plates b are extended beyond the stops to form supporting feet for the mould. The concrete block may be reinforced by rods h supported in detachable sockets f mounted in sleeve bearings g in the plates b, the rods being secured in the sockets and bearings by detachable pins.
