It is aimed to provide a novel apparatus whereby the walls, blocks or sections may be expeditiously made and such an apparatus or form as is readily disassembled, and further to provide for 5 reinforcement at the junction of blocks as by pilasters, poured concrete and the like.
It is further'aimed to provide such a wall or block as may have its surface ornamented or figured, colored or otherwise as preferred.
The more specific objects and advantages will become apparent from a consideration-of the description following taken in connection with the accompanying drawing illustrating an operative embodiment.
In said drawing:-

Referring specifically to the drawing wherein like reference characters designate like or similar parts, the invention is practiced by using two metallic skeleton frames ID of the shape shown in Figure 4, such frames having openings H therethrough, short longitudinal extensions l2 at one end and a longitudinal extension l3 at the other end longer than those at I2. As shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3, the frames 10 are adapted to be arranged in parallelism supported on a table l4 or otherwise and core sections I5, one for each opening I l is adapted to be passed through the opening I l removably. Said core sections comprise U-shape members l6 and 11, preferably of metal, which are adapted to fill the openings I I and be held in intimate contact with the walls thereof by means of removable wedges or pillars I8, of wood, metal or any other preferred material.
Reinforcing wires or rods of metal as at l9 are adapted to be arranged against opposite surfaces of the cores held in place as by means of the wires engaging adjacent structure. Thereafter, with the aid of panels, forms or the like, concrete or similar material is adapted to be poured between frames I and around the form made up in Figures 1, 2 and 3 and with the aid of a trowel,
form blocks or sections like those shown at 20 in Figure 6. After the concrete or material of the blocks 20 has sufficiently set or hardened, the wedges It? may be removed whereupon the members l6 and I! will collapse and may be readily removed from the openings II, following which, the skeleton frames ID are disassembled, and the block removed from the table or support M.
It will be noted that the blocks 20 have spaces 2| therein provided by the cores l and'at one end have a long flange l3, formed after the extension !3 and at the other end have short parallel flanges 12 formed after the extensions l2.
The blocks 26 may be arranged in wall or other formation as in Figure 6. Where the flanges l3 abut end to end, they may be reinforced by engaging pilasters 22, being cemented thereto and to each other and where the flanges l3 engage at right angles as shown at the corner in Figure 6, concrete or the like may be poured into the space 23 to bond the blocks together; Also, concrete may be poured into the space between flanges I I2 where they abut end to end, to bond them together.
Attention is called to the fact that the blocks B may be made of concrete or other cementitious material of any color or shade and finished of any color or shade and that in addition, the face thereof may be ornamented or figured as preferred. For example, it may be finished to represent a plurality of rows of bricks and in order to provide the necessary grooves, strips such as 24 may be placed on the support or table l4. If any other desired configuration is to be imparted to the block, the table l4 may be ornamented or finished accordingly or may even have a die or form supported thereon for contact or engagement by the concrete.
Various changes may be resorted to provided they fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
I claim as my invention:
1. Apparatus of the class described comprising a plurality of individual skeleton frames, each frame having an opening, an expansible core member separably connecting the frames and disposed in said opening, said core member having a plurality of U-shaped parts having side walls in overlapping relation, and wedge members entering the core members functioning dually to tighten the said parts against the frame and urge the overlapping portions of the side walls into contact.
2. Apparatus of the class described comprising individual skeleton frames, each frame having a plurality of openings therethrough, removable expansible core members constituting the sole connecting means for the frames bridging the frames and engaging the walls of said openings, said core members comprising a plurality of U-shape parts having their side walls in overlapping relation, and wedge members disposable between said parts functioning dually to tighten the said parts against the frame and urge the overlapping portions of the said walls into contact.
