Abstract
Substantive dyes, dyeing with; regenerated celluloses, dyeing.--Cellulosic textile materials are dyed with sulphonic acids of phthalocyanines (cf. Specification 322,169, [Class 15 (ii)]). The fastness of the dyeings to water may be improved by after-treatment with amines of high molecular weight as described in Specifications 366,918, 390,218, 390,553, and 398,175. The following examples are specified: (1) Cotton is dyed clear shades fast to light by treatment for 1 hour in an aqueous solution at 80--90 DEG C. containing a sulphonic acid of a copper-, nickel-, or cobalt-containing phthalocyanine, (cf. Specification 410,814), sodium carbonate and sodium sulphate; (2) Viscose artificial silk is dyed by treatment for 1 hour in an aqueous solution at 85--90 DEG C. containing a sulphonic acid of copper phthalocyanine.
