Abstract
474,484. Typewriters. PALLESEN, H. P. Aug. 25, 1936, No. 23313. [Class 100 (iv)] Pad inking-arrangements.-In a self-inking stamping-machine for marking linen and the like comprising a stamping-head composed of type-wheels and an inking-device therefor mounted on a lever and influenced by a fixed abutment, the carrier lever of the inking- device is in the form of a bell-crank lever h provided with a projection arranged between an upper and a lower notch k, i, the projection engaging the fixed abutment v during the downward movement of the type-head so that the inking-pad m makes temporary contact with the types, and the lower notch i serving to locate the types, in the position of rest of the stamping-head, in spaced relation from the types. The stamping-head comprising type-wheels g and spring detents t<2> is mounted on a lever c which may be depressed by a pedal s<2> and restored by a spring p. After pressing the pad into contact with the type-wheels, the abutment o co-operates with the arm e to withdraw it. A buffer stop n<1> for the lever c and a rubber anvil q for the linen to be marked are provided.
