474,396. Food preparations; preserving food. TRIGGS, W. W. (Continental Patent Corporation) April 30, 1936. No. 12348. [Class 49] [Also in Group XVII] The hull of a natural fruit such as an orange or grape-fruit is preserved and used as a container for its own preserved fruit or other food substance. The hull may be rendered edible or may merely be preserved by coating. The hull may be cut in half, the edible portion removed and it or other edible product 5 packed into the halves 2. These are assembled again and sealed along their cut edges at 6 by sealing- wax &c. A paper cover 7 may be added. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the halves of the hull are sealed at 8 before being placed together. In the form shown in Fig. 6, a cap portion 12 is cut off to serve as a lid to the remainder.
