Abstract

472,301. Regulating. CROSSLEYPREMIER ENGINES. Ltd., and YEATES, A. C. March 3, 1937, No. 6297. [Class 7 (vi)] In an arrangement for connecting a gas engine to one or other of two alternative gas supplies, each supply is led to the intake manifold past a hand - operated valve and a governorcontrolled throttle valve, the two hand valves being connected together so that both are closed in the mid - position of the handle, and one is open and one closed in the two extreme positions. The Figure shows two gas supplies d, e connected to the manifold c, the former by a hand valve f and throttle valve g, and the latter by a hand valve h and throttle valve i. The two valves f and h are arranged upon the same spindle and actuated by a handle k. The two throttle valves g and i are also interconnected to maintain the same governor control, whichever gas is in use.
