472,283. Converting. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and KNIGHT, H. DE B. March 20, 1936, No. 8438. [Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVII] An interrupter in which the contacts are controlled by fluid pressure impulses under the timed control of a rotating member may be employed as shown in the Figure in circuit of the starting grid of an electric rectifier. The interrupter 57 periodically discharges a normally-charged condenser through the primary 54 of a transformer 55, current impulses being derived from the secondary 56 in the starting grid circuit. Alternatively the interrupter may be connected directly in this circuit.
