Abstract

482,317. Two-part couplings. ARNOLD, C. L., DOWSETT, R. W., and M. K. ELECTRIC, Ltd. Oct. 30, 1936, No. 29507. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XI] A device to prevent access to an electric lamp or other removable appliance while current is connected thereto consists of a guard 9. covering the lamp &c. 8 and carrying a fuse 17 that bridges a pair of contacts 5 and so completes the circuit to the lamp &c. The contacts 5 are engaged by blades 12 having clips 16, Fig. 4, in which a cartridge fuse 17 is held. The fuse is partially surrounded by an insulating-wall 18 formed on the guard 9. The guard is secured over the lamp &c. by a bolt 13 and nut 15. The lamp 8 is shown as a glow-discharge lamp in a pilot circuit and the guard is fitted with a ruby window 10.
