471,232. Seats. CAISLEY, E., and CAISLEY, W. F. Nov. 11, 1936, No. 30806. [Class 52 (ii)] Arm-chairs or settees are made with the back and sides detachably connected to the seat in such a manner that they can be adjusted relatively to the seat. The seat 1, back 3, and sides 2 are made and upholstered in separate units, and are detachably connected together by means of bolts or the like inserted in holes in the frames, each part having a number of such holes arranged in groups. For example, the back frame may have a group of holes 24-26 through either of which a bolt secured to the arms may be inserted, and a lower group 27 through one of which a bolt passed through one of a group of holes in the lower part of the side 2 may be inserted. Similar groups of holes are provided in the seat frame.
