Abstract
470,649. Powder distributers. HAWES, G. W., and ACME CHEMICAL CO., Ltd. Feb. 25, 1936, No. 5617. [Class 18] A powder distributer comprises a casing S with a bellows 1 and a screw-threaded cap 11 which supports a tubular gauze filter 13 closed at its inner end but communicating at its other end with a delivery aperture in the cap. The bottom disc 5 of the bellows is connected to a handle 2 which is also pivoted at 3 to a projection on the casing so that the bellows is operated to discharge powder by oscillating the handle. A spring 16 helps to take the weight of the casing. The two ends of the bellows are clamped to the disc 5 and to the casing by means of bands 7, 9 which are drawn tight by nuts and bolts, the latter passing through holed lugs on the ends of the bands.
