Abstract

462,879. Teethcleaning appliances. LHOSPIED, A. June 17, 1936, No. 16839. [Class 81 (ii)] A teeth-cleaning outfit comprises a tooth glass 1 engaged over a base plate 3 to the underside of which is screwed a receptacle 2 for liquid dentifrice. The plate 3 has extending from its upper side a yokeshaped tube 6 with a stoppered aperture 7 through which liquid dentifrice may be poured for use. A tube 10 of toothpaste is suspended by a collar 13 attached to a rubber cross-piece 14 on the tube 6 such that the tube may be swung sideways, without detachment, to discharge its contents on to the brush. The lower end of the tube 10 is held in a groove 15 in the plate 3 by a spring 16. A tooth brush 9 having a folding handle 11 in two parts pivoted together at 11<3> is supported in a clip 12 on the tube 6. The tube 10 may be replaced by a cake of solid dentifrice slidable into guideways on a boss or support integral with the plate 3. The cake has a square base and is held between side flanges on a base plate, the ends of the flanges being then turned over to secure the base plate to its support.
