[Class 19] A reservoir scrubbing brush of the kind provided with a tubular handle of sufficient length to enable the brush to be used without stooping, and capable of forming a conduit or receptacle for soft soap or other liquid or semi-liquid cleansing material and discharging it through holes in the stock of the brush so that it is fed to the bristles of the latter during use is characterized in that a container for liquid cleansing material is rigidly attached to and adapted to discharge into the upper end of the tubular handle and screw-operated means for regulating and cutting off the discharge of cleansing liquid from the container into the tubular handle, whilst in a modification a feed cup for soft soap or the like is substituted for said container, said cup being provided with a screw-on cap for forcing the contents thereof into the handle. In Figs. 1 and 2 the brush handle comprises a straight length of light tubing a of suitable length having at its lower end a flanged distributer b secured by screws and wing nuts c to the upper face of the wooden stock d of a scrubbing brush of suitable pattern. Passages (not shown), are provided in the stock leading from the distributer to its under face from which the bristles e of the brush project. The upper end of the tubular handle is provided with a crosspiece f and an upper handgrip g carried by spaced side members h. A container j for liquid soap is clamped by a pair of detachable bolt-straps k<SP>1</SP> to legs k provided within the members h. The container is provided with an outlet m fitted with a rubber or like tube n discharging into the upper end of the tubular handle a. A turn screw o is provided in a boss f<SP>1</SP> in the centre of the lower handgrip f and is adapted as shown in Fig. 2, to be screwed in to press the lower portion of a loose bent strip p against the lower end of tube n to close it partially or completely. Alternatively, in Fig. 3, a feed cup r fitted with a screw-on cap s may be screwed to the upper end of the tubular handle a and the side members h supporting the upper handgrip g may be welded on the cap s.
