Abstract

792,448. Reservoir tooth brushes. EDWARDS, G. S. July 12, 1955 [July 15, 1954], No. 20725/54. Class 19. A combined dentifrice dispenser and toothbrush comprises a tubular handle A for receiving as a close fit a tube, Fig. 4, of dentifrice, a tubular extension J removably attached to the handle and provided at its outer end with an eccentrically disposed socket for receiving a screw-threaded part of a brush head K which is movable between a position of use where the bristles face outwards and an inner position (as shown) in line with the tubular extension, and a brush head cover, Fig. 3 (not shown) for connecting to the handle extension, the tubular handle being fitted internally with a movable plunger G which upon rotation of a knob C at the outer end of the handle progressively expels the dentifrice through a passage leading to the bristles. As shown the plunger G is supported on a screw threaded rod attached to the knob C and passing through the middle of the dentifrice tube, the plunger carrying a nut which engages the screw thread and also carrying spring members H which engage the inside of the dentifrice tube to prevent the plunger rotating.
