Abstract
470,445. Pneumatic separating. BUHLER, GEB. Nov. 19, 1936, No. 31719. Convention date, June 12. [Class 117] In separators of the kind in which the granular material while falling down a shoot is subjected to a rising air current, the material is spread by a double rake S<1>, S<2>, Figs. 1 and 3, the tines of which are in staggered relation to each other. The rake may be fitted to the end of a counterbalanced flap K for controlling discharge from a hopper or it may be secured in the shoot at any part such as the wall facing the hopper outlet. The two parts of the rake are preferably formed from a sheet of metal of angular cross-section.
