Abstract

469,846. Bearings for centrifugal spraying-apparatus. LORING, F. H. April 16, 1936, No. 10948. Addition to 444,833, [Group II]. [Class 12 (i)] In a centrifugal spraying or impregnating apparatus as described and claimed in the parent Specification, one of the bearings is supported on a rubber ring 16 to take the downward thrust, and a plurality of rubber washers 20 take the upward thrust. As shown, the bearing housing 2 has a self-aligning ball bearing 7 on which a thrust ring 6 is clamped by a sleeve 8 and a ball thrust race 23 is clamped to the tubular shaft 4. The housing 2 is fitted with a grease nipple 28 and duct 29 leading to the bearings. The bearing is rendered dust proof by felt washers 31.
