Convention date, Sept. 14. [Class 12 (i).] An anti - friction bearing is supported by a tapered ring 22 of resilient material having a corrugated peripheral surface 24. The ring is retained in position by a metal ring 29 having tongues 27 engaging recesses 30 in the outer bearing race 14. When two such bearings are provided at opposite ends of a shaft, the large ends of the tapered rings are arranged in juxtaposition.
