Abstract
468,619. Centrifugal and screw fans and pumps. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN. April 5, 1937, No. 9669. Convention date, April 4, 1936. [Class 110 (i)] In a centrifugal or screw fan or pump, the casing carries strikers, moved into the path of the impeller vanes by a handle outside the casing, so as to exert a continuous striking action on the vanes to remove deposits thereon. The strikers comprise resilient wires 5 mounted on a shaft 4 passing through the casing to an outer handle. The wires may be extended beyond the shaft so as to engage the inner wall of the casing 2 and simultaneously exert a striking action thereon. The strikers may be rotated clear of the vanes 1 and casing 2.
