Abstract

467,941. Annular reflecting lenses. GUNSBOURG, A. April 30, 1936, No. 12333. [Class 75 (ii)] An annular reflector 1 made of transparent or translucent material has inner and outer coaxial surfaces of revolution which diverge downwardly, and is provided at its upper end with an integral collar 13 adapted to fit over an electric lamp bulb 2. The outer surface of the reflector is composed of a plurality of coaxial frusto-conical surfaces 3, 4, 5, and the inner surface is frusto-conoidal. The outer surface of the reflector and its collar may be coated with reflecting material. The annular element may be made of coloured glass and may have different degrees of transparency or coloration, and may be frosted in parts. Elements made of metal foil, asbestos, or other material may be inserted between the collar and lamp bulb to allow for expansion and contraction of the collar and bulb.
