467,863. Agitating-apparatus. CROSBY, W. E., BURNETT, A. C., and ALUMINIUM PLANT & VESSEL CO., Ltd. March 5, 1936, No. 6656. [Class 86] In an agitating-apparatus for liquids in which the agitator is carried on a shaft projecting through the wall of the vessel, the agitator is made readily removable by fitting its shaft with a cut-away portion for engaging yielding retaining means. The agitator b, bearing against a sleeve f, is carried on a shaft c passing through a sleeve d on the end of which is a spring-influenced star wheel i engaging in a recess in the end of the shaft. The star wheel is carried by a cage m driven by a crank-pin r and the shaft is furnished with a flat p mating with a corresponding flat in the cage.
