[Class 80 (ii)] [See also Group XXVI] In an adjustable-throw crank shaft particularly for use in power presses, the shaft a has formed integrally therewith an eccentric portion b on which is mounted an eccentric sleeve c with an annular flange o at one side thereof. The sleeve is flanked by flanges d, e of which d is formed integrally with the shaft, e being formed separately and taking its bearing both on the end of the portion b and the adjacent portion of the shaft a. The throw is adjusted by rotating the sleeve c over the part b and securing it by a key-piece m, with projecting part p adapted to enter one of a number of slots n in the flange o. The piece m is secured by a screw q preferably inclined so that in screwing it in, the projection p is forced into the slot.
